Washington, Dec 24 : American actress Susan Sarandon has ended her 23-year-old relationship with actor Tim Robbins.

According to People magazine, the couple, who has two kids Miles Robbins and Jack Henry Robbins together, parted ways this summer.

"Actress Susan Sarandon and her partner of 23 years, actor Tim Robbins have announced that they separated over the summer. No further comments will be made," Fox News quoted Sarandon's rep Teal Cannaday as saying in a statement.

Sarandon and Robbins met on the set of their 1988 film "Bull Durham."

In addition to their successful film careers, both have been heavily involved in political and social causes.
